Design Fundamentals 1012 a/b

Design Fundamentals is an intensive, comprehensive introduction to the essential foundation skills from which design processes are built. Areas covered include the principles and elements of design, color theory, drawing and 3D processes. Assignments will encourage students to solve problems utilizing media that are the best fit for the most appropriate solution. A wide variety of wet and dry drawing media will be explored, as will collage, clay, wire and print and mixed media. Color will be introduced and important drawing themes such as perspective and composition assimilated.
